G-III Apparel Group, Ltd.'s (NASDAQ:GIII) Shares Climb 26% But Its Business Is Yet to Catch Up
Despite an already strong run, G-III Apparel Group, Ltd. (NASDAQ:GIII) shares have been powering on, with a gain of 26% in the last thirty days. The last month tops off a massive increase of 166% in the last year.
Although its price has surged higher, there still wouldn't be many who think G-III Apparel Group's price-to-sales (or "P/S") ratio of 0.5x is worth a mention when the median P/S in the United States' Luxury industry is similar at about 0.8x. While this might not raise any eyebrows, if the P/S ratio is not justified investors could be missing out on a potential opportunity or ignoring looming disappointment.
