BlackBerry Ltd. stock falls Friday, underperforms market
Shares of BlackBerry Ltd. slipped 2.08% to $4.70 Friday, on what proved to be an all-around rough trading session for the stock market, with the S&P 500 Index falling 1.51% to 3,585.62 and Dow Jones Industrial Average falling 1.71% to 28,725.51. This was the stock's third consecutive day of losses. BlackBerry Ltd. closed $7.69 below its 52-week high ($12.39), which the company achieved on November 3rd.
The stock underperformed when compared to some of its competitors Friday, as CrowdStrike Holdings Inc. Cl A fell 0.54% to $164.81, VMware Inc. fell 0.95% to $106.46, and Citrix Systems Inc. rose 0.04% to $103.90. Trading volume (4.9 M) remained 560,007 below its 50-day average volume of 5.5 M.
