Hewlett Packard Enterprise Co. stock rises Tuesday, still underperforms market
Shares of Hewlett Packard Enterprise Co. inched 0.75% higher to $16.13 Tuesday, on what proved to be an all-around great trading session for the stock market, with the S&P 500 Index rising 1.46% to 4,076.60 and the Dow Jones Industrial Average rising 1.09% to 34,086.04. The stock's rise snapped a two-day losing streak. Hewlett Packard Enterprise Co. closed $1.63 short of its 52-week high ($17.76), which the company reached on February 10th.
The stock underperformed when compared to some of its competitors Tuesday, as Apple Inc. rose 0.90% to $144.29, Microsoft Corp. rose 2.10% to $247.81, and Cisco Systems Inc. rose 0.93% to $48.67. Trading volume (24.1 M) eclipsed its 50-day average volume of 13.8 M.
