JPMorgan Chase & Co. stock outperforms competitors on strong trading day
Shares of JPMorgan Chase & Co. inched 0.98% higher to $133.84 Friday, on what proved to be an all-around positive trading session for the stock market, with the S&P 500 Index rising 0.48% to 3,965.34 and the Dow Jones Industrial Average rising 0.59% to 33,745.69. JPMorgan Chase & Co. closed $35.97 short of its 52-week high ($169.81), which the company reached on January 13th.
The stock demonstrated a mixed performance when compared to some of its competitors Friday, as Bank of America Corp. rose 0.05% to $37.19, Citigroup Inc. rose 0.85% to $48.66, and Wells Fargo & Co. rose 1.11% to $46.50. Trading volume (9.5 M) remained 4.0 million below its 50-day average volume of 13.4 M.
