The Business Journal surveys Greater Washington companies of every size to find out who is giving back the most to the region’s nonprofits every year. Out of more than 100 that filled out our survey this year, we narrowed it down to the 56 companies that donated the most in cash to organizations either directly serving or headquartered in Greater Washington.
In order to recognize more than just the largest companies (with the deepest pockets), we divide our List into three size categories based on total employee headcount: small (less than 100 people), midsize (100 to 999 people) and large (1,000 or more people).
We’ll celebrate these corporate philanthropists at an in-person awards event on June 6 at the Conrad Washington, D.C., and publish our full report with all the details in our June 7 edition of the Business Journal. The award program will also recognize the Morris and Gwendolyn Cafritz Foundation as our 2024 Philanthropist of the Year.
