Stryker Corp. stock outperforms market despite losses on the day
Shares of Stryker Corp. slid 0.53% to $240.08 Friday, on what proved to be an all-around rough trading session for the stock market, with the S&P 500 Index falling 0.57% to 4,123.34 and Dow Jones Industrial Average falling 0.30% to 32,899.37. This was the stock's second consecutive day of losses. Stryker Corp. closed $41.08 short of its 52-week high ($281.16), which the company achieved on September 9th.
Despite its losses, the stock outperformed some of its competitors Friday, as Medtronic PLC fell 1.05% to $103.45, Boston Scientific Corp. fell 2.81% to $40.85, and Edwards Lifesciences Corp. fell 2.75% to $100.52.true Trading volume (1.5 M) remained 50,792 below its 50-day average volume of 1.6 M.
