Aptiv PLC stock outperforms market despite losses on the day
Shares of Aptiv PLC slumped 0.76% to $158.57 Thursday, on what proved to be an all-around grim trading session for the stock market, with the S&P 500 Index falling 1.42% to 4,659.03 and Dow Jones Industrial Average falling 0.49% to 36,113.62. Aptiv PLC closed $22.24 short of its 52-week high ($180.81), which the company reached on November 4th.
The stock underperformed when compared to some of its competitors Thursday, as Magna International Inc. rose 3.30% to $89.34, Autoliv Inc. rose 1.25% to $106.84, and Gentex Corp. rose 0.68% to $35.36. Trading volume (2.0 M) eclipsed its 50-day average volume of 1.4 M.
