McKesson Corp. stock falls Monday, still outperforms market
Shares of McKesson Corp. slipped 2.25% to $326.47 Monday, on what proved to be an all-around dismal trading session for the stock market, with the S&P 500 Index falling 3.20% to 3,991.24 and Dow Jones Industrial Average falling 1.99% to 32,245.70. McKesson Corp. closed $9.13 short of its 52-week high ($335.60), which the company achieved on April 21st.
The stock underperformed when compared to some of its competitors Monday, as Cerner Corp. fell 0.35% to $93.67, AmerisourceBergen Corp. fell 1.06% to $157.32, and Cardinal Health Inc. fell 2.23% to $56.97. Trading volume (1.5 M) eclipsed its 50-day average volume of 1.3 M.
