KeyCorp stock outperforms competitors despite losses on the day
Shares of KeyCorp slipped 1.35% to $24.79 Friday, on what proved to be an all-around grim trading session for the stock market, with the S&P 500 Index falling 1.89% to 4,397.94 and Dow Jones Industrial Average falling 1.30% to 34,265.37. This was the stock's fourth consecutive day of losses. KeyCorp closed $2.38 short of its 52-week high ($27.17), which the company reached on January 18th.
Despite its losses, the stock outperformed some of its competitors Friday, as JPMorgan Chase & Co. fell 1.75% to $145.08, Wells Fargo & Co. fell 2.42% to $53.67, and PNC Financial Services Group Inc. fell 2.87% to $200.96.true Trading volume (13.1 M) eclipsed its 50-day average volume of 7.7 M.
